Treacherous Tides Shawl pattern by Knorfolknots

4.20

This shawl is designed using a traditional asymmetric triangular construction.  This is achieved by increasing and decreasing stitches at the beginning and end of rows.  The breaking wave, sea surf effect is created by using double yarn over, knit two together stitches.

The project is ideal for mini skein sets.  Or your own colour combination of 20g skeins. Treacherous Tides is inspired by the wild and varied coastline of North Norfolk in the UK.  A county bordered by the sometimes-treacherous North Sea.

The shawls featured in this pattern are knitted with yarn from Colours of Norfolk ™ by Aviva Leigh, Mini skein sets available here
