Learn a variety of crochet techniques in a course of four workshops to create your own heirloom sampler blanket using Colours of Norfolk™ natural dyed British wool. Sue Maton of The Mercerie is an experienced crochet designer and teacher, well known for her ‘homage to the (granny) square’ workshops. Aviva Leigh is an artisan dyer who works with plant dyes and historic recipes to create rich, natural colour inspired by Norfolk’s rich textile heritage.
In the first workshop you will work with Sue and Aviva to create your own colour palette for your project, selecting from a variety of plant dyed yarns. Each workshop will be based around learning different techniques to create the sampler strips and you will learn how to bring them all together and finish off your project in the last workshop.
There are only six places on this exclusive course, which will be held in Aviva’s studio in Aylsham.
