dye upcycled wool, threads & other natural fabrics in a palette of rich colour inspired by Amish quilts – glowing pinks and reds from cochineal, zesty yellows and greens from weld and indigo and deep, rich purples, charcoals and soft greys from logwood. The workshop finishes around 4pm, after which you will have time to enjoy the beautiful grounds of the house, take a drive to the coast, or enjoy a treatment from one of the wonderful complementary therapists
You will enjoy a relaxed day of hand stitching using your dyed fabrics to create freeform patchwork. You will explore the Amish ethos of simplicity in stitch, learn a little bit about colour theory and mindful making and return home feeling totally relaxed, recharged and inspired…
