Saturday 20 – Sunday 21 August 2016 – TWO SPACES LEFT!
Saturday 20 August: using locally sourced mud to make a resist paste using a traditional recipe, you will learn how to block print and paint designs onto cloth. After lunch, inspired by the amazing shapes and the beach landscape you will also create wonderful patterns and marks using found objects, binding bundles to rust overnight, ready for the dyepot.
Sunday 21 August: We will create a deep blue indigo vat and spend the day dyeing our creations from the day before, combining mud resist, indigo and rusted fabrics to create a collection of cloth samples with fabulous textures and colours ready to be used in future projects.
Workshop price £150 for two days includes all materials, equipment and refreshments with a vegetarian lunch on each day.
