Too hot for working with wool? Our special summer workshops teach you how to work with tannin-rich plant dyes to colour cotton cloth for your stitch projects or to use in our ‘slow stitch’ workshops.
Learn how to use a range of natural dye ingredients from the souk on unbleached calico and pre-loved linen fabrics using eco friendly methods. You will create a ‘stash’ of gorgeous fabric samples and embroidery threads to take home with you.
In the afternoon we will also use the indigo vat and a variety of natural ingredients to modify the colours and achieve secondary and tertiary shades.
Full day workshop includes home made lunch, materials and refreshments. Workshop duration 6 hours plus lunch break 10h00-16h30.
*Additional larger pieces of ready to dye fabric will also available for you to purchase to add to the dye pot and take home.
